Short Letter to my Love

Good morning Bubba, how was your week?  Do you feel bigger now? I bet you are faster and smarter since your birthday.  People say you are working on going potty like a big boy. Do you wear the PJMax or Elmo big boy underwear we bought at the store?  Papa and I still have the potty chair that we bought that day. We put it away in a safe place so it’s here ifever you need it. How is Sissy? Does she like school? I saw another picture of her, she’s getting so big too!  We had our Thanksgiving like normal. Your Great grandma, grandpa and your uncle were here, even your other grandma and grandpa came. We played giant Jenga. Remember that game? Well, you and I didn’t play Jenga, we just built towers, but we sure did have fun.  We missed you and Sissy being here, it was weird not hearing your voice and little footsteps. I showed your grandma and grandpa your room. It’s changed since you’ve seen it, but it is still yours and Sissys room.

How was your Turkey Day?  Did you eat pie? I remember last year and all you wanted was pumpkin pie and mashed potatoes.

I need to get on with my day, but I want to say I miss you.  Have a fun day with your dad today. We love you Bubba.

I'm a middle aged working woman. I have raised four boys of which my baby is 17. Motherhood began at age 17 for me. For 30 years every choice I've made was as a mother. This past year, two of my sons have decided life is better without me. I'm a mom, a grandma, a wife that was divorced and now remarried. Here I am, still trying to figure out this thing called life.
